Our story
Built on 30 years of hands-on experience
Founder Paul Bennett has spent more than 30 years in the building industry. He set up OPB to do things differently — bringing design and build together under one roof so homeowners get genuine open-plan solutions without the stress of managing separate architects and contractors.
From a full structural renovation to a new build or a rear kitchen extension, Paul stays hands-on and on site, keeping every trade flowing to the next. It’s an approach that has earned OPB a reputation across the Wirral for smooth-running projects and finishes that speak for themselves.

Our history
From bricklaying straight from school to running OPB
With over 30 years’ experience in the building industry, Paul Bennett has seen it all. Bricklaying straight from school, Paul served his time with a local family company in Heswall before moving to Jersey to work on bespoke new builds in the early 90s.
He returned to Wirral in 1996, specialising in extensions, structural alterations and hard landscaping. Today, Paul has established OPB as a complete service solution for those aspiring to the ultimate modern living space.
